Dr. Christopher Garcia, DMD, DDS
Founder of Iconica Dental Group
Meet Dr. Christopher Garcia, DMD, DDS
Dentistry Redefined in Hallandale Beach
Dr. Christopher Garcia, DMD, DDS, is the Founder and Clinical Director of ICÓNICA Dental Group in Hallandale Beach, Florida. His approach to dentistry brings together comprehensive diagnosis, aesthetic restorative dentistry, advanced implant education, dentoalveolar surgery, and modern digital technology to create highly individualized treatment plans.
Dr. Garcia believes that complex dentistry should never feel fragmented. Surgical, restorative, aesthetic, functional, and patient-centered considerations should be evaluated together from the beginning.
This philosophy is at the heart of ICÓNICA: Exceptional Care, Devoted to You.
A Foundation of World-Class Excellence
Dr. Garcia’s educational journey spans two dental schools and healthcare systems. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2025, after previously earning his Doctor en Odontología from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2020. His UNIBE professional dental degree was subsequently evaluated in the United States as equivalent to a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
At Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Garcia pursued advanced clinical experiences in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, periodontics, pain and anxiety management, medically complex patient care, special-needs dentistry, and biomedical research.
His surgical education also included Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery externship experiences at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Broward General Hospital, and Memorial Hospital, providing exposure to hospital-based surgical care, trauma, operating-room environments, dentoalveolar surgery, pathology, reconstruction, and anesthesia and sedation environments.
A Pioneer in Dental Innovation
Dr. Garcia’s interest in surgery extends beyond clinical practice. He developed OralSurg/Vesalius, an educational technology project designed to support oral surgical education and treatment planning.
His research examining the incorporation of technology into oral and dental surgical education has been presented in academic settings, including the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Caribbean Section.
His continuing academic interests include digital surgical workflows, implant dentistry, regenerative dentistry, and the integration of technology into clinical decision-making.
For Dr. Garcia, innovation is not about adopting technology simply because it is new. It is about using technology thoughtfully when it can improve planning, communication, precision, and the patient experience.
A Heart for Service: At Home and Abroad
Compassion and service have been central to Dr. Garcia’s path in dentistry. In 2019, he founded One Smile at a Time, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to dental and medical care for underserved communities.
Through humanitarian missions, Dr. Garcia has worked alongside volunteer healthcare professionals to provide care to communities with limited access to treatment. His service has taken him throughout the United States, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, combining dentistry with a longstanding commitment to humanitarian outreach.
His commitment to service also includes participation in multiple Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinics, where volunteer healthcare teams provide care to patients who may otherwise have limited access to treatment.
Dr. Garcia’s dedication to community service began long before his career in dentistry and was recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
For Dr. Garcia, service remains an extension of the same philosophy that guides ICÓNICA: use your training, time, and abilities to make a meaningful difference in another person’s life.
A Foundation of Leadership and Discipline
Dr. Garcia’s commitment to service and leadership began years before his career in dentistry. After participating in the U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), he went on to join the Army National Guard.
His military service ultimately concluded through an early honorable separation as he pursued the next chapter of his education—attending medical school in the Dominican Republic before ultimately finding his path in dentistry.
These experiences helped shape the discipline, adaptability, sense of responsibility, and commitment to service that Dr. Garcia continues to bring to patient care, humanitarian work, and the leadership of Icónica Dental Group.
