Restoring Smiles for Our Heroes

At Icónica Dental Group, we are honored to give back to the veteran community through dedicated, pro bono dental surgery services.

ICÓNICA

Our Mission

A Thank You to Our Veterans Freedom is not free, and at Icónica Dental Group, we believe in recognizing the sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces. While we cannot repay the debt we owe, we can use our skills to make a difference in their lives.

Dr. Christopher Garcia and the Icónica team are committed to providing specialized dental care to veterans as a tangible “thank you” for their service. We understand that dental health is a crucial part of overall well-being, yet access to specialized surgical care can often be a challenge. We are here to bridge that gap.

Strategic Partnership

Partnering for Greater Impact We know that some cases require extensive resources and long-term rehabilitation. To better serve veterans with complex needs, Icónica Dental Group is proud to announce our official partnership with One Smile at a Time and the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.

Through this collaboration, we can take on “bigger picture” cases that go beyond standard surgery, ensuring that veterans requiring extensive reconstruction or specialized support receive the comprehensive funding and care they deserve.

Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Christopher Garcia, DMD “My journey began with four years in the JROTC, followed by service in the U.S. Army Florida National Guard, from which I separated early to pursue my dental studies abroad. That early connection to the service instilled in me a profound respect for the discipline and sacrifice of our armed forces. Today, this program is my way of honoring that bond—using my training to ensure our heroes can smile with the dignity they fought to protect.”

FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions about Serving Those Who Served

The Basics

Is this really free?

Yes. For the 3-5 cases selected each month, the surgical treatment is fully pro bono. It is our way of saying "thank you" for your service.

No. This specific program is dedicated strictly to dental surgery(extractions, bone grafting, and surgical site preparation). We do not currently offer general dentistry, hygiene appointments, or restorative work (fillings/crowns) through this initiative.

Our pro bono scope includes wisdom tooth removal, complex extractions of broken or infected teeth, bone grafting, and alveoloplasty (smoothing the jawbone).

To ensure every veteran gets our full attention and to respect our scheduled patients, this program is by appointment only. Please contact us to submit your request.

Eligibility & Application

What documents do I need to bring?

You must bring a valid Military ID or a copy of your DD-214 form to your consultation to verify your veteran status.

At this time, this pro bono program is available exclusively for the veteran. We would be happy to see your family members as standard patients at Icónica Dental Group.

No, you do not need to live in Hallandale Beach, but you must be able to travel to our office for the consultation, the surgery, and the post-operative follow-up.

Because we limit this to 3-5 cases per month to ensure quality care, there may be a waiting list. We prioritize cases based on urgency (pain and infection) and surgical necessity.

You do not need dental insurance to qualify for this program. If you do have insurance, we can discuss how to best utilize your benefits for any non-surgical treatments you might need in the future (like the final denture or crown).

Clinical & Partnerships

Who will perform the surgery?

All surgeries are performed by Dr. Christopher Garcia and the expert clinical team at Icónica Dental Group.

For veterans requiring extensive reconstruction that goes beyond our monthly pro bono scope, we collaborate with the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund. If your case fits their criteria, we can apply for additional funding to cover a more comprehensive treatment plan.

Generally, the program focuses on removing infection and pain(extractions). Implant placement is considered on a strict case-by-case basis or through our partnership with the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.

No. Local anesthesia is always included.

Due to the high demand for these limited slots, if you miss your surgical appointment without 48 hours' notice, you may forfeit your spot in the program so we can help another veteran in pain.

Our services cover the surgery and the facility. Any prescriptions sent to the pharmacy (antibiotics or pain management) are the responsibility of the patient, though we always strive to prescribe cost-effective generic medications.

Do You Know a Veteran in Need?

If you or a loved one is a veteran in the Hallandale Beach area requiring dental surgery, please reach out to us to discuss eligibility and schedule a consultation.
